Another hat made for my class intensive.
The crown is plastic and the brim is buckram. I covered and lined the hat all in that same black and blue brocade and did a bias binding of kasha lining. Around the crown of the hat is a bunch of black netting and the white piece on the side is a gem-covered belt buckle. The netting is tacked in place so that the bunches sit nicely on the brim, and there's a piece that sits in front on the face.

Can I ask you how you cover the hat? You say you cover all the pieces then sew them together. Do you glue the fabric onto them or sew and sew again?
And what order to you cover? Brim-or crown first?
It is such a clean job, my hats always look a little too fussed with.
